An exciting new era of MotoGP began in 2007, with the introduction of the 800cc category and Honda’s latest Grand Prix machine, the RC212V. Just as the world waited in excited anticipation in the 1960s, so they did in 2006 as Honda eventually confirmed a new V4, 800cc MotoGP machine to challenge for the 2007 title and adhere to the new engine capacity limit after five years of 990cc competition.
Honda continues its policy of educating its young engineers, extending its passion for engineering excellence and striving for further success in the red-hot arena of MotoGP. With the RC212V arrived a challenging new era, one which has witnessed the evolution of a new prototype over the immediate future, all aimed at challenging the record-breaking statistics of its predecessor, the RC211V.
